trouble-
you won't build big boost with the stock truck PCM programming.
you won;t build boost lolly gagging around. the engine has to be working HARD to build that kind of boost.
MAF- my bad, its MAP sensor. Look at the PS side cowl under the hood. its the little black box with the hose going to the y-pipe.
MAF is mass airflow. gassers have those. we have a MAP, either manifold air pressure or something like that. it reads the total boost the turbo is putting out.
boost- you need a chip to take the hobbles off the motor. i am running DP Tuner flip chip. The following readings are with my gauges, wo figure +/- 5% error per manuf's specs.
80hpEcono mode will peak at about 25 hauling a descent load. It will get that high on the highway 45-75 passing range. I don't tow in it unless i forget it. around town, maybe 12-15 max.
40hp Tow program will built to 27-28. but the motor will not defuel. so i figure that the gauge is reading a little bit low.
