My ESOF will not engage the 4x4. I have traced all the vacuum lines and isolated the the problem to the drivers side hub. From what I've searched it seems like the hub seal is what needs to be replaced.

What is the correct part number of this seal? Is it a easy fix or are special tools required?

Are there other seals or O rings that need to be replaced while I am installing this new seal?

Thanks

Good to hear its an easy fix. What about getting the parts? Went to autozone and they couldn't find the seal, said they don't carry it. Checkers has one but its only 3.99 and not sure if its the correct one, because from what I've read it costs about 20+ from Ford??

Do I need to replace the o rings on the hub too?

i would replace the o-rings. they are not much and that way you know they are good. as for the seal, i payed 75Cdn and that was garage cost. i put new ones in when i did my ball joints, had no choice, damaged them when i pulled the axle shaft out. i have herd some have had no problems and some have....
