They are roughly $40. The purported advantages are smoothing out the oil pressure to reduce pressure spikes and make it more even. There is an alleged additional benefit of quieting idle and/or running. I like the idea of the smoother pressures so that is why I got one. If it really does quiet my motor then that is just a great bonus.

In theory the ICP sensor is blind to the passenger side oil rail. The HPX hose ties the two heads together and evens pressure out. ICP sensor can now read presure in the other head indirectly.


All that's really quietened is the ICP knock of the engine. Mine idled smoother and didn't shake as much.

after an outing tonight I definitely notice a smoother idle. the wife even noticed and she is very much NOT into my truck.

I might have to get mine installed one of these days. The only reason I have not done it is from the fear of a failure. Too many threads in the past about leaks and blown hoses although Dale's hose is top notch :sweet
