wondering, i have read the threads on the hpop tsb's. for 05 and now the real new one. Was this also applicable towards 03 and 04 trucks? did just the 05 and up just have to deal with the hpop issues?
If the 03 and 04 did not need any fixing there, what was done different?
thanks

the tsb for the hpop CONNECTOR is for 2005-2007 trucks ONLY.
the connector supplying the oil to the HPOP was changed in 2005,
the TSB wasnt released until 2006...i

This is confusing, bush. My 04 HPOP sprung a leak and the repair kit with the bracket is what they used to patch it up. Maybe they retro-fit the newer repair kit when the fitting on the older engines needs repairs? But then again my pump actually failed also, so I'm thinking maybe I got the later pump and the kit. Dunno

1st ive heard of an 04 having the problem...BUT its certainly possible
that a LATE built 04 could be using the same parts.

I havent heard of any 6.0L pumps failing either...but I am NOT
the authority on diesels, hpops, 6.0s or much else either.

theyve even come out w/ a TSB for the TSB now...

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The fitting is installed in production engines starting from:
V8 engines: Engine ser# 431736 on 2/9/07.

better not say that out in public...any credibility you might have
will be out the window.

fact of the matter im a research-a-holic and ive never had <reason>
to pull my engine apart to look at the hpop...theres a few on here
that have and could certainly contribute to this thread.
