Dead Thread Opinion

99-03 7.3's are known to have issues with #8 injector being underpowered. Crossover is a good idea, good insurance too, well worth 65.00 for a great one and 30 for a cheapie. Last time I checked injectors were a F-ton more than that. IMO

Will be posting my install of IDP's X soon.;tu

I bought one of these and still have not installed it, because I want an Adrenaline HPOP, and they say the crossover isn't needed after that!:sly

:dunno Don't think it's ever been said that HX mod Is, or Was an absolute "Must Do".

It's (for 60 bucks) simply, an easy mod to do, that creats a more equal pressure for the oil pressure operated set up... that "pops" our injectors. How could we go wrong with that ?

After 40/50 HX installs... most of those, referals... Seems like there must be something good go'n on :dunno

So, Would you do it? Wouldn't equalizing the oil pressure to the injectors be a good thing?I would think so. Seems to me, it would help even out the fuel distribution through all 8 cylinders, but you guys know best. Am I over analyzing this? Anxious for your opinion, and Thanks!

I did it. I like it too. Quieter and evens pressure. Get one for your obs from Dale at the Tymar link in my sig line. The obs process is slightly different than the SD. You have to relocate one plug before you install the line. Dale has SS braided line and the whole kit for around $40.

Installed a crossover with my coolant filter and noticed nothing, in fact, I just got done replacing the #6 and #8 supposed LL long lead injector, which the crossover is supposed to supply more oil to. I feel like the amount of oil that will fit in that confined area is finite and since you cant compress a fluid your not really adding any more. However if youve got an oil pump that is on its way out or not operating at its full potential then perhaps such a mod could help.
