ok, you need to go to radio shack or any other electronic supply shop and get 2 resistors like the one in the pics, put these in instead of the bulbs under the cab.....and your pcm is tricked.....oh and guys if your not going to help the guy, don't trash his idea.....

Like has already been said, what is gained by installing the resisters. It will add the current that is saved by using the LEDs. They will draw .6 amps @ 12 volts and get hot. Other than the LEDs may last longer, nothing will be gained by doing this. If they really are needed to make the tranny shift correctly, stay with the regular bulbs.

i dont give a rats behind about current drawi care about how stupid the back of my truck looks when it has 4 brake lights,2 are LED and 2 are not and the brightness of the bulbs.the 2 leds light up the road behind me for atleast 1/4 mile.now when you look at my lights at night i have 2 that are bright as hell and 2 that are dim and look like crap.plus every light on the back of it is an LED except the 2 stop/turn/tails in the light bar.but my reason for wanting LEDs have absolutely nothing to do with this thread.

dude the resistors will do what you need, with the bulbs you want to install you have to worry about them burning out, not with the resistors... yes they will get warm but thats what they are made to do....
