how much fuel fits in my tank?

oh yea i threw in some red dye bout 10 gallons in my 6.4 bout $3.10 a/gal and nothing happend funny thing was my mpg went up 1.5 whys that ........

I think it is because you put in 11 gallons.

Like Iaid I'm new to this diesel stuff, but my understanding is that it's only bad if you get caught. I doubt the engine knows any different. After all, airplane fuel (100LL) has blue dye so you can tell it from Jet-A (clear) and it doesn't seem to hurt anything. Those engines are probably alot harder working than anything Ford currently builds.
