How much atf

Hi everyone. I need to know how much atf I would need to refill my trans after I replace the filter. It has a stock pan and is a 4x4 with a 4r100.

if you dont do a flush, itll be aroudn 17 qts. If you flush it, its closer to 20. I think it will also be closer to 20 if you drain the converter as well. Some of them had drain plugs on the converter, my '02 did not.

I don't need to drain the converter just the pan. The fluid is still red it is just time to change it.The trans was rebuilt 15000 miles ago and I have not towed anything and all the driving has been highway.

Having a brain phart. It should be around 7 quarts for a filter change.
