how many bell housing bolts ?

how many bell housing bolts are there in our 4r100 trans, i see 6 but is there a 7th on the very top, i cant see up there nor get my fat arm up there

also what special tool is there, if one to get the passenger side "top" bolt out? other than extensions I'm wondering if i have to drop the exhaust to get a better angle, any thoughts, im going for round 2 in the morning

Have a look here; Ford Super Duty 4R100 Tranny Transmission Photo It does not look like there is a center bolt at the top. Good luck in round 2!

I think your idea about pulling the exhaust is correct..
and replacing the stepped-down factory down-pipe at this time is a good idea..

Replace it with what? Its still in ok shape? I'm putting 4" turbo back exhaust this summer- is that what your talking about?

cool, yea i have to wait on that till summer, i just shelled out 2200 for tc, programmer, trans pan, gauge, and a few other stuff, i dont want to push it, she might beat me like

na i double and triple checked everything, its not that obvious unfortunately
