how do i turn off my headlights during darkness hours?

when im hunting i have several situations when i don't want my headlights on. I push the emergency brake a hair and they go off, but so does the buzzer every 30 seconds. Anyone know how to turn them off in daylight and nighttime???? I have a 2003 f350 4x4.

Seems he did Daveben, respectively. I'm not familiar with the super duty exactly, but I know that ford in general, has some pretty weird combinations to turn off the daytime running lights. I have a friend that owns a explorer that had to use the buttons on the rear view mirror in some pattern to stop the lights. Check your owners manual for anything, if no luck, call ford. Good luck!

Then undoubtably my daytime running lights are not working.


I have a 2004 as shown below. I do have automatic lights. I dont mean to highjack this thread but your answer would help me as well.

My 2001 has a resistor mounted in front of the battery on the drivers side, when i bought the truck it had DRL and I got lucky by unplugging the resistor and they now stay off. Hope this helps.

yes that is the DRL module and you should be able to remove it to disable DRL function and Smoky not all trucks came equipped with DRL, all Canadian trucks were DRL equipped and it was an option on US trucks.
