How do I tell if I have forged rods??

Here is a good link for those with a truck built during the cutover period. Check for yourself via an inspection hole.

ye I figured it wasn't powdered coated rods, but ya'll got the point. WHere is that inspection holw at exactly. I'm having a hard time judging just by looking at the picture?...do I look at it from the top or bottom, looks like the bottom.

I have not looked at my truck yet. Appears to be near the top of the oil filter, so I would say bottom of motor on drivers side.
