It was a good game, albeit I wished it would have gone the other way.

I'm going to avoid any real "sour grapes", but I would like to briefly mention a certain stripped ball that was ruled a reception and an incidental contact that was ruled interference.

But the big surprise was the performance of backup QB Aaron Rodgers. I don't think anybody could have anticipated that kind of performance from a back-up quarterback that had virtually "zero" regular season playing time. When Favre got hurt, (Which I think it's really poor sportsmanship when people are celebating a person getting hurt) the Packers trailed by 17. Rodgers closed that point spread to only 3, all the time without a single point being scored by Dallas.

Even you die hard "Texas trash talkers" have to admit that for a while, you were worried, VERY WORRIED.

Maybe we'll be doing this all over again in January.

Rodgers was great.........had only taken two snaps in a regular season game and never threw a TD. NOBODY was expecting that kind of performance from him.

As far as the refs were concerned I dont think the NFL had their best crew out there. This is one of the uncontrolable parts of the game that every team must deal with during the season.(enough said)

Finally, I don't think anyone wanted to see Bret get hurt........Packers fans or not most people are Bret Farve fans........I know I am.

I never want to see any player get hurt, and something is wrong with a person who says they wish for someone on the other team to get hurt.
That's just not right.:soap :soap

....Getting ANY Packer ticket is more like winning a lottery ticket. The only way you can usually get one is through a ticket broker at twice face value or more.

Packer games at Lambeau have all been sell-outs since 1960. Even the pre-season intra-squad scrimmage is a sell-out with folks tailgating in the parking lot.

That just tells me that the fans accepted a LOT of BAD football for all of those dry years! There was ONE reason that they were LOSERS for all of those decades....NO OWNER!!! There was nobody who had their tail on the line who had any $MONEY$ invested in the team. FINALLY, Ron Wolfe changed that...but he is gone now.

Once Favre retires we'll see if GB falls off again, or finds it's way back to the dance. Even with everything they had going for them in the Favre era, they only won ONE Super Bowl!

I have to disagree.

There is an owner. In fact, there are over 30,000 owners, the fans that own stock in the team. The Green Bay Packers are a corporation. By law, they have to hold share/ stock holder meeting every year. Frequently, they hold the stock holder meetings in Lambeau Field because it is very hard to find a facility large enough to seat all the "owners" attending the stockholders meeting.

There is not one rich, millionaire owner that owns the team. There are tens of thousands of working for a living folks that own the team, a team that has won three Super Bowl Trophies. All three trophies I have seen with my own eyes and can do so again any day of the week I want. All three are on display in the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame in Lambeau Field.

If you think any other pro sports team is so great, just try to go view their championship trophy on any day of your choosing. A trophy that belongs to some rich millionaire, and not the common working man.

Wanna know why Packer fans are so devoted to the team win or loose?
It's because they OWN THE PACKERS!!

I know I'm going to start a firestorm now, but here goes anyhow: The Packer stock holders live in states all across the country and in many countries overseas also.
Based on that fact, if there is any team that deserves to be called "America's Team", it's the Green Bay Packers.

Now before I start getting flamed for that statement, ask yourself this: Did I cheer for "MY TEAM" or a "TEAM OWNED BY SOMEBODY ELSE".

Hey, I have no arguement with anything of your points. As far as being called "America's Team", I really wouldn't dream that The Packers and their fans would EVER want to be called something that was associated with another franchise!? That just sounds like "A-Team" envy, and I don't think that's what the Pack-fans are about. The Packers have a romance with their fans, and have a history all of their own. Why would they want to be called by a moniker that was given to the Cowboys? By the way, there was a very valid reason that the press gave Dallas that name.

My only real point was that the guy making the decisions...the one actually running the team...had nothing to lose! He didn't have anything invested. He could post a losing record year after year, and the fans would still fill the place, and still chant, "Go Pack Go!!!! Where was his incentive? Jerry Jones has $200+mil. of incentive. My point....if the stockholders call the shots, why was The Pack so horrible for 20 years? That system obviously wasn't working so well...

I appreciate The Packers. I lived in Oshkosh, and know all about them. I was simply identifying what I deem to be a flaw...but an admirable flaw.

TIP: I would recommend that you all put those car-window flags away in June. They look pretty silly flying during the summer. :roflmao

Wish we had stock holder ownership. I despise Jerry Jones.
