horse power?

i had a question about the horse power in my truck i have a 2000 f350 with a 7.3 in it, does any body know what they say it had from the factory ----- torq and horse power?????? :thanks :doh:

I can't remember eggzackerly, but 275hp and 565 ft lbs sticks in my head...

I do not know that information. But I would think that you would be able to obtain that info from Ford. But if not be patient there are alot of guys up here that are very educated on these superduties. Sorry that I could not be of more assistance to you.

I thought it was 250 for the auto trans, 275 for the manual trans. five hundred something for torque not sure?

235 hp 500ft/lbs. It should be on one of the valve covers. My truck put down 217 rwhp stock. I think the 250 hp was the '02.

for general overall horsepower and fuel mileage gain what chip is better 50-75-100 ????

I have heard good things about DP Tuner's 80hp econo tune. I don't currently have that program. I get the same mileage in all but my extreme program. Your foot will determine your mileage with a chip.

Most of the time, the most extream program will give you the best milage... But you have to keep your foot out of it.

usually the middle setting does the best. I've found that if you screw a 1" block of wood under the go pedal, that should get you a couple mpg's :roflmao
