Hopping when i hit the brakes.

There is a bad wobble when i hit the brakes. Its so bad that it will almost shake you out of the seat. It sounds like the driver side wheel is bouncing when i apply the brakes. I have replaced the shocks. there is a clunk in the front end when i go over bumps. Its driveing me nuts. Also the drivers side front looks lower than the passenger side.

First off, I susupect that your wobble/shake is most likely warped rotor. As far as your clunk goes, I'd start by checking your ball joints, and wheel (hub) bearings.

miles on tie rods
miles on tires
u-bolts on axles spring perches
miles on brake pads?
air pressure in tires?
condition of tires?


warped rotors will cause a pulse in the pedal and a shaky sterring wheel ,but worn tie rods, overinflated tires, worn out tires will help to cause shake and shimmy wobble that may bounce you around

I remember

I remember reading something about that,, you might want to check TSB and stuff....might want to have someone watch your tire and brake slowly to see if you have control arm play...tire will move back and forth as brakes are applied
