what happened to 1+1=2??? that is the extent of my math knowledge.

well we have the MCAS up here where everybody has to pass it with the same grade or they stay back.this kid has been comeing home with homework with stuff i did in high school, shes only in the 3rd grade(i think).the teachers have to keep to a strict schedule with the classes now so they no longer have 10 minutes to sit down with a student if they need more help.now its either learn it in one day or you fail and stay back to do it all over again.id love to get out of this state before my kid gets into these classes so he can be in a normal school where he can get a normal edumacation and get extra help if needed.-mad :cussing:

oh stop!

Calc I is pretty easy, Calc II OTOH, is a cast-iron beyotch (that's why I'm auditing vs. taking it for credit).

this is a cast iron beyotch.

this is what you need to get through calc, diffy-screw and the like.

That or a good professor I had a not so good professor for Calc II that insisted it was hard and it was. I had an AWESOME professor for Calc III that insisted it was is and it was. Diff-eq was pretty easy anyhow, mostly algebra.

The quality of professor makes the difference between all classes being hard or easy. I had crap professors for Calc I, II, and III but had a great one for DiffEQ. DiffEQ was the easiest class of the four.

Those are good books--I have the Schaum's Calculus book and it is quite useful. My Trig/Calc I/Calc II professor (Mr. Kerry Bailey) is actually one of the authors for the Schaum's Intermediate Algebra book. Sooner or later I'll get a copy for him to sign--who konws, it might be worth a wheelbarrow of cash someday. ;)
