"Home Dehumidifers" Who uses em?

I'm in the deep south and can't get away with just a/c in the basement it's already cool down there so the a/c would never kick on unless I bought the high dollar units that would run simply to dehumidify.

Our basement stays around 68° in the summer and drops to about 58° in the winter. The basement is 90% underground.

Recently I've seen a slew of current model pre-owner/demo 40 pint Whirlpool dehumidifers on Ebay for pretty good deals that might be worth a shot at-popcorn

Several years ago we rented this house down on the coast for a week.

The dehumidifer had to be dumped, 2-gals at a time, at least once a day. :eek: :eek: :eek:
