In a van down by the river...
Last weekend I got into quite a lengthy discussion with a buddy and he asked me a question that got me thinking for rather a long time. He asked: "If you could only have 5 CD's for the rest of your life, what 5 would you pick?".

Here's mine:
10,000 Maniacs "MTV Unplugged"
Dropkick Murphys "Live on St. Patrick's Day"
U2 "Best of 1980-1990"
Iron Maiden "Powerslave"
Metallica "S&M"

It's kind of funny (I just noticed this), but four of my five picks are live recordings--not sure that means anything but it's amusing.

So, what 5 discs would you pick if you could only have those five?

This is a tough one...

Tool - Aenima
A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms
Chevelle - Wonder WHat's Next
A Perfect Circle - The 13th Step
3 Doors Down - The better Life
Tool - Lateralus
The Side project
Bad Religion - Self Titled
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Hank Williams Jr, - America, the way I See it.
Johnny Cash - Most recent Greatist Hits album

Looks like I'd have to beat up the guy next to me and take his choices, too, since I don't think I can choose any one of these over the other to be eliminated.
