I called BD and they walking me through the trouble shooting. Got it working now off Upfitter Aux Switch #4.

No, the Ref wire on the switch ties into a white/brown wire in the bundle. What I found out the hard way was there are two white/brown wires of different size wire gauge. The one I needed was the smaller of the two. I switched and it works fine now.
