x2, Bush. The first time mine gave up the ghost I tipped the tech and brought the guys in the shop some good beer, and the second time it had issues I got the truck back with all kinds of other re-call work and flashes done to it in record time. It had even been washed. A little PR goes a long way. Good to hear, desert50eagle, glad you got it sorted out.
X3. When I had major work done(new heads, studs, remanufactured turbo, oil cooler, egr cooler) I was paranoid and wanted a little extra ensurance that it was going to all go O.K. and gave the tech a $75.gift certificate to the local steak house for him and his family, just hoping that he'd do the A.R.P.stud torque sequence correctly and be extra careful with my rig. I wasn't looking for anything more, but when I checked the oil next after this work was done,I found new oil and a new dip stick,no charge. The orig.stick end was black. The newer ones as you probably all know is gray. How much easier it is now to read the level!
But more importantly my truck ran and is still running better than ever. Oh, and even though my experience and opinion of service advisors is less than good, I gave him a certificate as well, didn't want him feeling left out.
