Wow, this thread must be full of my stupidity, but like Al asked.

How come you didn't just put it in the back?

Don't want to pack anymore load up the river than necessary.

Yep thats it. While the old PSD is a very capable truck I find that it becomes waterlogged in the deeper sections of the river;) There are no roads up here to remote areas. You have to get out in the woods by air or by river. Once out in the remote areas it is much easier to hunt and pack meat with the help of a ATV.

How will the boat do with the extra weight on the bow?
You need to take pics of the setup in the water.

Does just fine. I hauled a Yamaha Grizzly and a cow Moose out of a very shallow river and then Up the Tananna last fall. The boat has a 200 horse Mercury jet-drive in it and only weighs 1560lbs dry. I will take some pictures this fall when out on the river. Not much need to take the wheeler fishing during the summer ;) But then again the fishies do get big up here from time to time :D

That is great, Is that a common thing to see a land animal riding a aquadic creature up and down a river in alaska? I put a 2500 lb mile marker winch on mine and I love it, it has come in handy a couple of times already. I want a set of those tires for mine too. let me know how rough they ride when you get em on.
