Don't tell Al Gore this, he'll blame it on global warming.
Maxtor, I know what you mean about no kids. My wife and I are both only children, but we have two sons, one just turned 30, the other one will soon be 27. After they left home, it was very quiet, but they live in the area. The youngest one and his wife have a 2 year old daughter, so we have her on Saturdays, while he's work (deputy sheriff) and our daughter-in-law can clean house, go to beauty shop, etc. The little one really "runs us ragged", but by the middle of the week, we're already ready for her again. They have tickets for both NASCAR races at Texas Motor Speedway next month, so we'll be babysitting all weekend.
You both are very blessed to have family close by. Maybe when your grand daughter is three or four, you can take her to see a Nascar race. Ear protection would be needed for someone so young. Enjoy her while you can because you know how fast they grow up.
