I saw Bio available at a station for the first time since I've been driving a diesel. It was 2.85 & #2 was 2.89 Only a 4 cent savings. Can it be burned in my 06 6.0 without problems or mods? Unless I find a 20+ cent savings I probably wouldn't use it anyway, but I was curious if I could?

Thanks

absolutely. The warranty would be your only concern and that is a more complicated discussion.

B100? Or a blend?

Ford only warranties B5.

B100 needs a heated filter, gels alot easier. My Racor has a 300 watt heater. B20 would be fine without a heated filter.

Why would you need that much savings? Wouldn't you feel better burning and American made renewable product? Heck I drive 120 miles one way for my B100. But then again I'm from a farming family.

Scot,
Keep an extra filter with you. You have a newer truck so loosening debris in your tank is probably not a big concern, but you never know. I have about 1200 miles with B100 and my truck has 312K miles. No probs so far. MPG has remained about the same.

Go for it, but carry a spare fuel filter set (and a 36mm wrench) with you at all times justin case. I have been running B99 for 7 or 8 weeks now without any problems.
