i think im about to melt something in the car carrier with the CB.when i deadkey the mike my tach drops to 500RPM.while talking the tach bounces all over the place. im running a magnum S3 with a 1.5 watt deadkey into a texas star DX350

Sounds like your SWR is outta wack, may need to check it using a tone generator plugged into a O-Scope after bypassing the DSP but just before the 300 OHM HI PASS FILTER but be sure to disconnect the 2.5KHZ COLLINS MECH FILTER or you'll burn up your ROOFING FILTER and if that goes then you'll need to replace the 270 HZ CW FILTER and the FILTERED POWER CORD
