Hey,

Every since ive owned my truck ive noticed that when shifting in to 4th gear it hesitates a bit, not long but there is definatly a hesitation. My mechanic also pointed it out just so I knew about it. What causes this? Is it something I need to worry about or does it just happen some times? Also I dont think its related but lately Ive noticed when slowing down to the point of a very slow roll I can hear a noise similar to gears rotating under load, very faint noise coming directly from the front end. Any ideas on this?

Thanks
Jeff

does it just happen shifting in to 4th gear? so it did it before and after your tuner?...i get something similar, only when on i get get on the go pedal....as far i can figure out is, it is defueling for a split second while it shifts...

as for your noise in the front end...possibly could be your hub(s) aren`t unlocking properly, even though you think they are....if you noticed in my signitaure, i have Warn premium hubs....now i know when they are locked and
unlocked....

hope this helps....

Hey,

I will check out the hubs. What is the difference between the premium and lower grade like I got? Why would the lower grade not fully disenage? Will this cause any issues? Yes it did this before the tuner and after, it isnt a big delay, just a little slow shifting and only in to 4th. more pronounced when really mashin the gas.

Cheers!

Cause issues as far as what?? It will put a little more stress on all moving front-end components and may handle a little different. Do you have auto or manual hubs??
