My truck weighs 8500# and looks like it might go 10K#....but every pickup owner that pulls up beside me at a light wants to race. I also got bluehairs in Caddies, Lincolns, etc. and adolescents in ricers....women in Blazers, CRVs, Navigators....you name it, all want to race me. A couple of weeks ago, a dude on a big displacement sportbike pulled up beside me, looks my truck over, looks at me and starts blippin' the throttle.

I don't really like to race....I just love the sound of my truck when it spools up. I win some, I lose some....but nobody smokes me (except the bike). Nobody! My only point of dissatisfaction is 1st gear and the pansy-shift to 2nd.

And my frikken truck is stock (I think). I can imagine the fun and adventures you folks have with your modded rigs.

Tell him - not only not fun but painful - that awfull smell of tires burning on asphalt as the top layers of tread melt away . . . the deafing roar as the super hot gases scream through the 4" exhaust causing children, old ladies and small animals to scream in terror . . . that awkward feeling as the seat belts pin you back against the seat as 9K pounds of metal is thrust forward as if out of a Stephen King novel . . . and your heart pumping so hard and loud as she shifts from 3rd to 4th and you observe the needle in your dash cruise past 90 so effortlessly . . .

Nope - no fun -popcorn
