My Toyota Corolla does the same thing, downshifts when I hit the brake. Sorta a hill holder affair. Not as aggressive as my Truck. I have not played with this car, yet...

I miss our old 93 crown vic. For a big ole car with a v8, it got awesome mileage. Almost 30mpg's and that car went all over the U.S. when we were younger on our vacations. Our newer Lincoln LS gets great mpg with the small v8. Plus it hauls arse!

Im actually lookin for a lil gas sipper car. Im lookin at the Ford Focus or an Escort. I really want a Focus ZX3 hatch back. Get over 30mpg usually. Anyone have a Focus? My gf has a 98 Escort 4 door sedan with an auto and that thing gets 38mpg! Ive been shoppin around. Dont mind a fixer upper but dont want one rusty.

My ranger I had had a 4 banger in it and got about 18 mpg. I put a 302 in it and was getting 24 mpg. But that was like having a jet motor on a bike. Nothing to push in weight. There was nothing stock about it too. LOL
302, 30 over 9 to 1 flat tops with a 544 in 546 ex. the compression on that motor was 13.2 to 1. With 289 heads. That truck was so fun.

I'd love to get a new focus but dont want to pay that much right now for a new car. Im mainly lookin for a used one. Early 2000's. Preferably Id love to have a zx3 svt focus. So freakin awesome!

Yea wayyy better! Fusions look sweet as they are but wheels just make ANY car sweeter. You can put nice wheels on a crappy car and still make it look better haha. Looks good Joe! The Wifey probably gets a lot of attention. Whens the dual exhaust goin on?
