Help with VW passat parts

I figured somewhere here has to know the answer to this question.My wife has a VW passat and the trucnk latch wont work, loooks like a spring broke.My problem is, I dont know what it looked like before and cant find a good parts manual to figure it out.Or if anyone knows where I could get the part as a whole off ebay or where ever.We dont have a VW dealer anywhere near is why Im asking.I think I can get the trunk latch as a whole, who knows.Please help.

yes, just get a trunk latch...
don't dink around with trying to repair the old one, you'll just waste your time and annoy the pig...

as far as parts places, i would recommend World Impex, Inc., ask for john.

manuals- well that is a tough one. what year passat?

Thanks for the links.Its an 01.5 but have to get 02 parts because its the newer body style.
