Help with uvc harness

Replaced the uvc harness and still had a miss fire. I got my new autoenginuity and ran a buzz test. Cyl # 5 failed. Took valve cover off again and found the injector connection had fallen off. Reconnected it and ran another buzz test. All sounded the same but got these codes P1275 Cyl #5 High to Low Side Open and P1293 Injector High Side Open. All connections look good. What else should I check?

Just to clarify, its still running rough after you plugged in the injector?

I've never been under the VC's but if you can swap inj. harnesses from an adjacent injector to the #5 and rerun the buzz test. Or swap the #5 with another injector on that side and run the buzz test to see if the code follows the actual injector it's bad....if it still throws the #5 codes then it's a wiring problem on that cylinder.


Have you run the cylinder contribution test?

I've just run the buzz test before putting on the vc. I could be getting the codes stored in memory. Just trying to avoid removing vc again. Guess I'll put it back together and fire it up.

You were right budro. Fired it up and it's running like it's old self again. Guess I expected this new program to do everything for me. Just need to reinstall my DP Tuner chip and I'll be Thanks guys

Wouldn't happen to know the torque specs for the vc bolts would you?

Sorry , I don't pay much attention to torque specs unless they're on heads, main caps, rod caps, etc. Just use a 1/4 drive ratchet you'll be good.
