if its just the hoses, you can get new O-ring kit from IH or ford, even NAPA has em now to, the lines like to work loose over time, and a good snugging will give you a temp fix to get to a store if its not to far.
but if it is the pump itslef, maybe rooster or whatabudro can shed some light, its been awhile since i popped a pump off, good bit of disassembly to get her out.
Thanks for getting back to me.Its hard to tell where its leaking. There is a lot of oil in the valley.I cant see any drips while its running.Although its hard to see all the fittings and the h/p pump And i dont think I can run the engine w/ the filter housing removed.I checked with the local NAPA they could not find a listing. I am on the phone with ford right now. They offer a reman pump w/all the lines and fittings listed separatly. So I dont know where to start. The large plugs in the heads are definately not leaking. that was a different truck last week.
Thanks
my truck had one of the plugs work its way almost all the way out, ford dealer found it for me cause i was beating my head against the wall tryin to find the leak, it'd fill up the valley and leak down the bell, made it look like a rear main seal, they said the plug was finger tight, almost all the way out. Not sure which one it was though, wish i could help there...good luck with it.
I had one of the small (#5 o-ring) plugs leaking and filled the valley. Clean with carb or break cleaner use a mirror and a strong light. plugs are close to the valve cover's top or inside edge.
