I have 2008 SD f250 LARIAT Crewcab 4x4 6.4l. Getting rain leaking in from front and rear of cabin. Body shop told me I can clean out moonroof drains myself. I found front drains at corners but not able to see any other drains. How many others could there be, where are they and how might I go about cleaning them out? I was also told my third brakelight could be leaking. Any suggestions on how this might be remedied would be appreciated. Thanks

You might get up on a stool or small step ladder, and blow out each corner drain with a air nozzle. Look for the other drain hole while above the moonroof.

I once poured a bit of water on one of our cars that had a similar problem, and watched carefully where the water went -- or seemed it ought to go -- and then I used a thin bit of fencing wire to push through the accumulated crud. Dave's compressed gas idea is much better as long as the channel isn't totally plugged in which case you're just compacting it.

Any time any light/lens is leaking it's a bad fit between gasket and lens and body. So check the gasket. Maybe a piece of it is gone.

Drain lines usually go down the windshield frame and drain out behind the front tires. A blast of air up and down should clear the obstruction. Take a look to make sure the line is still attached to the roof tray drain fitting. Test your work with water.
