Hello My buddy bought a 95 f-350 powerstroke that had a eletrical fire in the dash ( previous owner cutting off down pipe cut into the cab) and is attempting the rewireing with a 97 standard tranny harness, his is a auto. The dash was replaced and wired most of the new harness connected to the old existing truck. It will turn on but no accelleration, the pedal and and sender was changed and the computer and injector driver was removed and put on another truck and all worked on a different already running truck. Is there any differences in the 95 auto harness and the 97 standard? The truck is also flashing the tranny light in the dash and the wipers turn on when the truck is on with out them being turned on from the switch, switch is in the off position. Any help would be appreciated

what ECM are you using?the standard or auto ECM?you have to use the auto ECM wich in a 95 should be code TEE4 or TEE5.you also need to use the harness from the auto tranny to plug into your wireing.

Thanks for the reply, we are using the original computer that was in the 95. I was removed and put into another truck and comfirmed that it was working and put back into the 95. I will verify the harness to the tranny today, I do not belive it was hurt in the fire and should have been reused I will look and see.

Thanks, Leo

my first instinct would be to check that the idle validation switch is working properly and that the engine is not getting the signal that it should be at idle all of the time. (the IVS will override the signal from the pedal)

Ill have him check that tonight and see what happens, so far its all the same. Still trying to find out why the wipers are coming on too, there must be a plug connectedin the wrong place.

Thanks, Leo
