HELLP 2005 6.0 Stumbled onto its face and died last night

So I want to try and diagnose this myself before I end up having to take off all my mods and take it back to the dealer so if anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated.

Last night I was getting onto the freeway and the truck just didn't seem to have all the power it normally does, I got on it WOT towards the end of the on ramp and the motor seems like its revving up but its not making any power. It starts to get worse once i get on the freeway its now sputtering, almost a slight popping noise and feels as if it is running out of fuel. I get off the freeway make it though a couple of lights and it dies in the middle of the road a few blocks from home. I try to restart all i get is the motor cranking no sign of wanting to fire. Luckily I got my body to chain tow me home with his half ton.
Has anyone had this issue or know what would cause this to happen. I had the Edge chip on there, I was at level 2 like 40+ HP. I checked the fuel filter above the motor and there is fuel in it I also removed the chip. Still no start. PLEASE HELP ME I have a straight pipe exhaust system with a smokestack so in order to get my warranty i have to redo the exhaust and pay for a tow. I hope I can fix this in the driveway

the engine light never came on I have to wait until Tuesday to check codes my buddie is going to bring his code reader over but his shop is closed for the holiday

If it was HPOP would my oil pressure drop I was watching all gauges closely and all had normaly readings. Is there a way to diagnose the HPOP other than replacement.

won`t affect engine oil pressure....with a proper scanner(like a SNAP-ON MODIS scanner), you will be able to read if the HPOP is building up enough pressure to fire the injectors....thats where i would start, hope this helps....

What ATK said... First step is diagnosing pressure or leak at the pump;more often the HPOP outlet fitting. Computer needs to see 500p.s.i. to activate injectors.

Not the HPOP

ok so my buddy brought over his scanner last night and the HPOP was at 580 PSI when cranking even with the batteries running a little low.

We did come up with 11 codes

P0269 Cyl. 3 Contribution Balance Fault
P2290 ICP to low
P2291 ICP to low cranking

and P0261-P0282 Cyl 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 injector circuit low

I also have fuel pressure and checked all fuses and relays

At this point it would be my decision to bring the truck to a "good" dealer; but the following I have copied from dieselmann's page,as it may apply to your concern. (05' 6.0 HP Oil Leak @ injectors) "Some vehicles may exhibit a hard or no start with low ICP pressure readings. Remove the valve covers and inspect for oil leakage where the oil rail installs onto the injectors. If leakage is found,the affected injector should be replaced. Inspect for a missing oil inlet o-ring or spring clip. If these parts are missing,they will need to be located or engine damage will result. Look inside the rocker carrier on top of the heads, in the oil pan and on the oil pick up screen. If the missing parts are not in these locations, remove the lube oil pump and regulator and inspect". Good Luck Ripper. How's the Garlic Festival these days?

Thanks for the information, now all I have to do is take out the chip and the exhaust so i don't get the run around at the dealer.
Anyone know of any good dealers in my area (GILROY, CA). I wont go back to the Morgan Hill Ford Store ever again they messed up more than they fixed when the head gaskets were leaking. Anyone hear anything about the diesel techs at Gilroy Ford

oh and P.S. Fordoor the Garlic Festival was hot and bigger then ever this year almost to big I think I'm gonna head out of town and do some fishing next year the traffic here gets pretty bad

got fuel...

at first i though it ran out of fuel so I did them the other day right after it died on me they only had about 12,000 on them fuel was in the fuel filter above the motor when i replaced it. We also checked fuel pressure last night and did diagnostic check with the Solist for the injectors
