Just joined/new member here....have an old school 2003 6.0 truck and looking to get a '17 or '18 F-450. I understand that last date to order a '17 is like Sept.1 and first day to order an '18 will be about Sept 15.

Headed to aquaint myself with the site forums and start reading... specifically what changes are in store for '18 compared to the '17s that are of any earth-shattering news? Any news will be greatly appreciated and will start searching here tomorrow for those threads that may answer my question...TIA.

:welcome to SDD! I just got back from Jefferson, Or to watch the Eclipse. Fantastic. Then we headed over to the Coast (Westport) and drove down the coast to California. Wonderful trip.

I saw on Fox News where Ford is about to have the first $100,000 truck. It's an F-450 Limited. I think the one they discussed had a list of $95K and taxes, etc., would push it over $100K. Evidently it will have almost everything except the kitchen sink as standard equipment.

The first truck I bought was a 1972 F-250 with a 4 Spd and power steering. No AC or power anything. I was shocked when I saw the Out-the-Door price of $4,040.00 and 46 years later they are going for $100,000!

I have a '17 F350 XLT DRW and you will love it! Even at the XLT level have more bling then I've ever had in a truck. The cruise control and tow/haul mode and integrated exchuste break make driving a big rig a dream. And the seats are great! Had a family emergancy a couple months back and did 684 miles pulling the 5er straight thru and at the end was not butt sore or uncomfortable in the seat. I could say more....

Ford extended their 2017 ordering dates...I placed my order on Sept 7 and Ford accepted and pulled it to be built on Sept 14. My understanding is the 14th was the last day for getting accepted as any orders since that date were 2018 models.

No earth shattering changes for the 18s, but Ford dropped 2 and added 2 different exterior colors, made available a 4x2 model, and added the Limited. Dealer informed me my truck doesn't have the 2017 color interior, but has a 2018 color instead.

Truck is on the train, last seen in Illinois yesterday, headed to Oregon.... won't be much longer!
