Have never posted to a forum, hope this is the right place.
My name is Dave, I have a 1997 F250xlt/w 7.3L extended cab. Bought new in '98 when they didn't offer new F250s. I put a Banks on it about a year later after struggling up some of our mtn passes. Made a big difference.
Tow a 32.5 5th wheel. Wife wanted a crew cab, so bought an immaculate '02 from a neighbor. 7.3L also. Was told by a mechanic to avoid to 6.0s and up.
'02 has over 180K, and runs like a dream. We kept the '97 to 4 wheel in the mtns.
Joined to try to solve an issue with the '97. Squirrels chewed up some wiring (three times). Need to find good schematics. I think I miss wired something because it blow black smoke really bad.
Will start investigating the site now.

Dave. You will have to look else where to find the wiring harness diagrams. They are not available on line, at least to the general public. It is a $$$ thing. You can get manuals for your truck at Chiltons or the official Ford Manuals here;
