I've been running B50 for the last few weeks so that I can fill my fuel oil tank with homebrew. I will be underway Dec-Mar so the truck will just sit with the exception of the wife driving it once a week so there is no need to save the fuel for that. I hope this offsets the cost. I still plan on buying some fuel oil but only 100 gallons at a time and top off with 200 gal. of Bio.

By California standards $100/cord is cheap. Fortunately I have dead oaks to fall and split each year on my property. All I pay for is a new chain for my saw each year (sharpening a dull chain is never as good as a new one). I have my own log splitter. This year I have 3 cords split, dried and stacked in my shed. :sweet

Me too ! 4 cords (Plum) split, seasoned and stacked in my wood shed, still have the better part of a cord (Almond) from last year. Best Darn thing I ever bought for my place is the Wood Stove.

Seems like something ota be done about the cost of Heating oil ! It's a :censored: Rip Off. NG Too ! Electricity Too ! Dezel Fuel Too, and Gasoline Also!

As soon as America pulls her head out you will see those prices fall, but until there is a viable energy souce to provide competition then fuels will remain relatively high IMHO.
