WARNING: The following is not for the faint of heart!
ALCON,
Greetings, I know that since the 11 Sept we have all looked into the heart of America and searched deep for who we are, who we support and what we believe in. I have had aquintances, friends and relatives who have all fought during the Vietnam campaign. They are pround to have been able to serve even though their country didn't support them durning that time. It took a somber moment like 11 Sept to open our eyes and look beyond our own nose. Please remember that the blood that paints the stripes red on the American flag paid the cost for you to live the life that you do. You have no idea what it is like to live without rights, freedoms, choices, and the free will that we enjoy in this country. Please recognize those who have served, lost thier lives, and lived the American dream.
As an American service member in our Armed Forces, I thank all of you for your undying support. I have never been more proud of family we as Americans have become. Even though we still quarl over politically correct terms, we are all still a family. We are all here for the same reason. We are all still American.
Pray for safe return of the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airman as they guard us from oppression. Pray for the families of those who have slipped the surly bonds of earth. Pray for those who will enter harms way, time and time again.
As I step away from my soapbox, My compass is pointing to the desert on the 14th. If you wish items/gifts to be given to the troops in Afhganistan, or Iraq, please PM me with your interest and I will send you an address to ship to. I apologize for getting this out so late. I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Quanza, and Happy New Year.
