I have an LBZ also and would gladly have my 6.0 powerstroke back. I like the d-max but its not a consistnet engine. One day it gets 20 mpg highway, the next 15. Some times it has alot of power, sometimes not. Way to many ups and downs. My 6.0 ran fantastic when it wasnt in the shop. Always got 21 hwy and 16 in town. Thats even when it was broke! Never left me stranded. My D-max has been towed once..
The truck has been in the shop a total of 15 times. 7 with me, and 8 with the previous owner. Just got a bad truck! But im stuck in it for a while, so o well. I just put exaust on it, so that helps. It atleast sounds like a powerstroke now. ha!
