head rest removal??? How?

trying to get my headrests out?i can lift em all the way up, but they dont pop out? how do i get them out? redoing my seats to leather.

i dont have my truck w/ me @ the moment...am traveling...
i KNOW ive had my rear seat head rests off before.

if it works like MOST (and i seem to recall they do)

theres a small button (iirc) at the base of the head rest post....
around the mounting trim.

push it in (maybe need a car key or flat blade screw driver)...anyway
push the button in & pull UP on the head rest.

the front seats have removable headrests, i can push the button, then raise em up. I need them to totally come out, they stop when fully raised?

cant help ya then...ive got the 40/20/40 front seat.

theres got to be a lock some where......they hid 'em
pretty well on my wifes car (but it was there)

you MIGHT have to pull the button OUT slightly...depending
on the type/design

should be two release tabs on the back of the seat underneath the upholstery, just have to feel for them,4-6 inches down from the top of the seatback. press and hold them both while someone pulls up on the headrest.( not positive about ford but everything I've ever worked on was setup this way)

on my rear headrests, at the base there is a small hidden button
on the plastic...push the hidden button in AND the large visible button on
the other base and pull up...they come right out.
