How do I get to the head light switch? Does the dash cowling pull off and access from the back of the cowling or does the switch come out through the front?

I want to access circuit #13 the low beam circuit.

Forgot to mention that.
I have a 2004 excursion.

Someone mentioned that on the 2001s there is a release tab use access with a thin blade under the headlight switch. Is that also used on the 2004?

on the bottom portion of the switch
housing (black square) you should
see a small SLOT.

put a screw driver in that slot to
release the tab & GENTLY pull the
entire switch houseing out of
the dash.

to remove the headlight knob, look
on the bottom of the switch (fat part),
youll see a small slot there too that will
allow you to release the knob from
the switch.

There is no slot under the headlight switch when looking at the dash. Are you saying the dash cowling has to come off first and if so is it just pulled off or are there release point to release the dash panel?

The dash stays. Just the switch gets removed. The slot is at the bottom center of the switch. Follow bushpilots instruction and it should come out.

Yes there appears to be a slot under the switch. Man I could not see it but when I went out to take this picture I could feel it.

Thanks guys
