I have an 05 F350 6.0 that is bone stock. I have the same problems as bigbearhunter. My truck lags at low speed and I really have step on it to drive over curbs. When pullin my 38 foot 5th wheel toy house in sand dunes I have to jump on it to get it to move. What would be a safe programmer that won't blow my head off? I plan on putting guages and a MBRP 4" SS staight through, next month.

Put it the gauges before you run the tuner. You will want to know when your engine is getting close to having a melt-down.

My 07 is the same way. If you want to drive over a curb you gotta give her a little juice. It may spin a little but it wil go over it. I put a predator programmer in mine and it works well and doesn't turn it up to much that you risk blowing it up. My mileage jumped from 15 in town to 19 when using the economy tune. It would not even do a brake stand before and now it will light em up on the high setting.

The power issue would also depend on what kind of tranny the OP has--I drove a friends '03 6.0 with the ZF-6 and I'd agree that it was a gutless pig at low RPM's. With an auto, the other 6.0 we had at work ran very well at lower RPM's. I'm no tranny guy so I can't explain why that is, but from my very limited anecdotal experience with the 6.0, I don't know that I'd want one with a stick if I was going to be spending much time in the lower RPM ranges.

Get your truck checked out again. My 04 only has a turbo-back exhaust, and will climb a curb with no throttle, and will spin the tires on the get go. My truck has 53,000 miles on her and has good power at low end of the power curve. I think you have a problem with a sensor or something. Just my :2c Hope tis helps a little...:dunno
