have a noise!!!!

noticed today when the weather cooled off drastically, herd a humming noise coming from the left side of the motor when running...also will make the noise when i first turn the key on for about 30 seconds and it will stop...soon as i start the truck, the noise returns....now i didn`t really have a chance to check it out( do to the weather today)...any ideas....

sounds like it maybe the noise accuator sensor giving ya problems.

it will usually go bad when everything seems to be goin right with your truck.

could it be the fuel pump that youre hearing ? (the 30seconds of
run w/ how truck started makes me think this could be the fuel pump)

could also be the vac. pump (but its mounted on the passenger side
fender)

well found out what it is....the f...ing fuel pump.... ...what timing.... ....we are getting snow and won`t have it fixed till friday(pump won`t be in till then)....luckily it is covered under warranty....now what to do for wheels for the next couple of days.... ....did i say what timing.... .....

yeah it still runs, but it is getting worse....barely do the speed limit in town. i have to drive it about 35km to the dealer(trying a different dealership, they seemed to have more know how about these trucks)...but no bus routes....my
BIL offerd to trailer it in for me, but he drives a Dodge....i don`t know if i could let that happen.... ....also the tech said, i shouldn`t drive it to much, do the fact it could damage the injectors(lack of fuel pressure), but then he said i still had warranty, so he left that up to me....i know one thing, i am not paying 130 bucks to have it towed by a towing company, almost fell of my chair when they gave that price.....

i use to have some back-up vehicles, but i don`t anymore....i can always drive a vehicle off the lot, where i work for a couple of days....
