I learned one time that the fuel gauge is dead on accurate in my Beast. The Flying J was out of diesel on my way back from Huntsville, no more stations open until Crestview. The lie o meter said zero miles to empty, and then the engine died about twenty miles from the house. At least it did it in front of a fuel station.

They were out of diesel, too. The wifeoid had to come in from Crestview with two jerry cans full of #2 to get me home.
