Has this happened to other 06 350's 6.0s

Hard to explain it happens towing and not,and at any speed, but not all the time. The truck sounds like its not in the right gear or that the fan is running full speed or that I'm pulling a heavy load like in TOW/HAUL mode . The RPMs on the tach ocassionally go up 500 ,when I hear this noise. My gauges don't indicate any over heating of trans or rad. This truck has about 9600 mi on it,the dealer said it has to be making the noise for him to check it out which it hasn't happened yet. Any similiar problems from anyone so I can get something done from the dealer that dosen't involve a towtruck

85 Buggy. Welcome to SSD.com Sounds like your fan is coming on as you are driving. It was 100 degrees here today and some times that will make it come on for a short time. Mine does it towing on hills for a short time. I like my truck but Ford sucked on that Transmission gage and boost gage. Get some after market gages put on your truck. Good luck

yeah my has been doing that alot recently it has been in the between the 100-110 degrees here and it kicks in when im taking off from as signal usually but i have a 250 not a 350

Ehhh makes no difference on this subject.


Mine does it about once every week in the summer.
