Hard Steering

Not too long ago I replaced my PS pump due to hard steering as well as horrible noise when turning and braking. Now my steering is just as bad as before but my brakes are fine. I do have a slow flud leak but I've kept on top of it so I'm pretty sure the new pump isn't burnt up, and I think the brakes would be acting up to. Anybody tell me where to look?

check the belt tensioner

I just went out and checked the tension on the belt; it seems alright to me

get the front off the ground. pop the pitman arm from the dragbar and isolate the friction. then youll find if its an bad ball joint, bushing, steering stabilizer, or steering box er what not.
