16 oz. of 2 cycle oil, to 16 gallons (halfa tank) of diesel could help too.

X2 Big Joe, The 2 cycle oil is the cheapest route to gain lubricity back in the fuel, which will quiet down the motor considerably. JMO

I use it religiously. Now'n then I'll top off without adding any... just to thin it out some.. so i'm not outa cal.. on the ratio.. sure can tell the dif, in the way my 7.3 runs & sounds without it.

Yeah, you have to run it at or above 2000 rpm for about 30 min as soon as you get it in. Also remember you installed only 1 injector, that means that cylinder is in prime working condition and the other 7 are probably gummed up and not as efficient as the newer one. Did you remove the drain plugs from the heads before installing the new injector?
