Ok ,guys I checked the batteries and they are both good so im going to see if i can get me some orings for the IPR as soon as i can locate the closest IH dealer

Make sure to walk in with part numbers, I have found that this often leads to a discount and some people have found that some international dealers do not want to sell to the PSD crowd. If you visit the OBS forum the IPR o-ring part number will be the same for the superduty trucks.

I was just parked next to another 7.3 at Home Depot and I happened to be in the truck when the guy came out and started up and His seemed to spin over much faster so Im now thinking my starter may be dragging a little???

Your batteries are going south. Slow cranking is the clue. Have them LOAD TESTED. Always replace batteries as a pair and NOT one at a time.

Dave , I had that done yesterday and the guy said they checked good and that my charging system was good. I will have it checked again if you think it needs to? Is there any way to check with a volt meter say while some one is starting the truck?

Did he LOAD TEST them? I would hate to see you spend the money on a starter when it is your batteries that may need replacing. The slow cranking is a classic symptom.

Im pretty sure thats what he did but I can stop off by another place and have it checked just to see. Thanks
