I just feel like there is more to be had out of the engine, without other mods like big oil, turbo, or fuel (none of which I plan on except maybe a fuel system).
Be sure to let us know how much of a difference you see. I am still on the fence as far as what injectors I want to get. If I end up getting a little travel trailer I am looking at more power will be something I need along with a intercooler.

You bet I will. :D

I turned 285hp on only one run of the dyno (luke cline program) with my current setup, but I think it might be a little low. I saw a CEL when I got back in the truck, the dyno guy got on it pretty hard in second and third gear so I think it ran out of HPO by the top end of fourth. I think if it was driven differently on the dyno the peak would be a little different. It feels like it should be more than 285hp.

I'm also not intercooled yet for a couple reasons. I hope to keep EGTs in check without it for now, I almost never tow (once a month, guessing very high at 3k lbs max), so I hope I will be okay there. If not I'll just have to drive a little slower pulling the buggy. There don't seem to be problems towing with a good intercooler and programming though.

Anyway I will definitely keep you posted. I think most who have done both injectors will say get the II's, as will I, I'm sure. :D But man I still sure have a lot of fun with the stage I's!

If you go down into the dyno forum you'll see where bullridin fool dyno'd at 360ish with the same set-up you and I have. I think your 285 looks real weak as well.

There is a dyno forum here??? Awesome!! :sweet (I never venture out of the 94-97 forum here or at the other place)

Well, this taken from his signature at TDS:

, dual HPOP, auto tranny by faubion motorsports, TS 4pos. chip/programmed by the wolfman, BDP stage 1's, open element intake, homebuilt fuel system, JS IDM

I thin those two are what really did it there. Granted I think I should still be low 300's?

I do suspect my SD pump is on the weak side, I even got three CEL's (I would shut down and restart to clear it) in the stock program pulling my sandrail up a nice big grade a while back. :dunno But the SD HPOP did make a HUGE difference in the top end, too, so I am still pretty happy with it.

From what dyno videos I've seen it seems like the operators wait until they are in fourth (or OD) before going WOT. He didn't on my truck... even made some smoke in second, and rolled a nice cloud in third gear. :dunno

Anyway since we have the dyno forum I might as well head over there and post mine. :D

Well, here he claimed that came via a stock 15° HPOP. I errored also, it was 340, not 360. His TQ was in the upper 600 ft lbs range as well.

but in his sig. @ the other place he is showing dual hpop....which I think james has.....Bean has always said that the one's with the correct programming, and enough oil, (referring to the 17° pump) is good for 100 hp. no doubt to get to 340 he's got the dual pump.......

If I understand it correctly he was running a 15* pump at the time of the dyno run but has since installed a dual pump setup.

Oh okay...

But... 340hp on a 15* pump?!!! Man! :( I wish mine did that! I guess I'll just have to get bigger injectors.
