Update

I thought I would revive this thread because it tells the story of the boat I got for my birthday a couple summers ago. And this post is sort of an update to that.

Every summer, our son's best buddy has a big bash with friends at his family's camp out on the Dead River Basin (reservoir). It's a day of boating, water skiing, tubing, boarding, beach bumming, (beer if you're into that sort of thing ;)) and did I mention THE FOOD!!!!
It was at this event a couple summers ago where we took the boat out for the first time.

I just got the boat running yesterday and it's about ready for the big event this weekend. As I write this, our son is enroute here from Nashville and our older daughter, boyfriend & grandson are coming tomorrow evening.

I shot a video showing the first start of the season and some of the upgrades & improvements I've made to the boat over the last couple years including a newer/bigger motor. But most of all, I can't get over the shape this thing is in for being 32 years old.

'79 Glastron GT-150 First start of the year.

Hope you have a great time at the lake or river.
I don't think they build boats to last 30+ years anymore.
