Happy 1st Day of winter!

The good thing is I for some reason brought the coffee maker,a pound of Kona coffee and a couple mugs.The wife was sooo happy when I told her I packed it in the truck
Both my sons are happily enjoying our stranded day with their Gamecube,portable DVd players with like 100 movies and many great places to go out to eat at here.
While stranded here I got a phone call from Luke this morning and said hey lets go get some lunch while we're in town

I lived for several years in Denver & Philly and quite familiar when the big storms roll in where we can get around town but can't get in or out
Hopefully by 6AM Friday I-70 will re-open to safely get on our way to Cheyenne Wyoming!

Well, its 8:30.

We had a storm come through starting about 4:00. We have been toned out for 9 accidents since 6:00, two have been head ons. Amazing how people forget how to drive when the first real snow hits. Going to be a long night here. Rachel will probably just tell me and my pager to go sleep in the truck.

Well after about 8 hours on the road we arrived in Cheyenne around 4:30 PM late this afternoon unscathed although many other drivers didn't have as much patience as us getting to their destinations.Something about ice and snow packed road surfaces doesn't mesh well with speeding trucks

The family and I also got to meet with JVencius and headed out to Chili's for some hot food,Thanks John!!

It was a beautiful sunny day from Salina all the way to Cheyenne which was pretty much in the low 30's.

Currently it's 24 degrees with an expected low of 8-12
