My barber retired in 1999 after I used him for about 15 years. He'd open up at 6 AM every morning and there would usually be 5 or 6 people waiting outside when he got there. He'd cut my hair in about 15 minutes for $9.00 and would use the warm shaving cream and straight razor. Now I go to a department store shop (as do a few other men) and get my hair cut for $29.00. The lady who cuts my hair really does good but they're just not as good as the other guy was.

Growing up I used to use one of my dads barbers but he has since passed away, he used to charge $4 and do the ol cream and razor.. But after being in the Air Force for 10 years its just easy to do it on base for $6, and no cream or razor, it works though.. The best that Ive ever gotten would have to be over in Okinawa Japan, they gave the best haircuts, used the cream & razor and even gave you a quick back rub, all for $8

I really miss my flat top. I ran out of hair for it though. On th bright side I'm saving money but shaving my head myself.:bootyshak

I've been going to ED's clip joint in Carrollton since I was 12 yoa .... cut the best flat tops in north texas IMO! Still use the shave cream and a straight razor to clean up the sides.... Located off of Beltline road and old denton you guys check them out.

How much do they charge for a bald top................... :D

Tbar

My barber says that he should charge me more ($11 now) because of the eye strain trying to find the hairs. :(
